CLIMATE: Climate conditions in Sochi are unique: it is the most north region in the world, which has wet subtropical climate. Sochi are surrounded by the Caucasus Mountains from the east and north, but south and west of the city are washed by the Black Sea – waters. Due to these facts climate in Sochi is warm and wet. The average summer temperature is 80 °F. The average seawater temperature in summer is 77 °F. The average winter temperature is 55 °F. Snow covers the Krasnaya Polyana area from December till April. If you are traveling to the Krasnaya Polyana in the end of April you have a chance to swim and ski.
